We are a family of 4 from Brisbane and went on a 5 day holiday to Tasmania. Tasman Island Cruises is a must do for a visit to Tasmania and not to be missed. It was perfect weather and we saw beautiful landscapes with wildlife which will be etched in our memories. Great value for the money you pay and for the contribution that goes towards conservation. Scintillating experience for the whole family and we keep seeing the photos and videos.
Fantastic cruise! Great photo opportunities. Saw Dolphins and seals. Fabulous cliffs. Comfortable boat. Recommended getting side seat if you can.
We went on a beautiful day which made it a particularly enjoyable day out.
It's an absolute must-to-do thing. Never felt safer in the swells - the driver, the guide, and the lady who did the briefing were friendly, knowledgeable, and well-equipped to make the passengers feel safe. They explained the rock formations, and you'd understand the transition from younger sedimentary rocks to older, tougher majestic dolerite columns, sea caves, and wildlife (sea eagles, albatross, seals, dolphins). There is no need to worry on which side of the boat is better - the photography opportunity is covered well for all as the driver circles the boat gently at each viewing spot. The boat was stable and felt more like on a bus bereft of awful wobbling. Fortunately, the day was awesome, and we completed the entire one-way course from the ticket counter/ reception to Pirates Bay, past Tasman Island, Cape Pillar, and our dream spot Cape Hauy (where we hiked to the following day) - awed and thrilled to see Totem Pole, Candlestick, and The Lanterns! Many thanks, Pennicott Wilderness Journeys, for giving us the best.
Loved this experience! The scenery was so beautiful and the staff were amazing, had great energy and were passionate about their job. I’d 100% recommend doing this. It was definitely one of the highlights of our Tassie trip.
We thought the price was a little high when booking BUT…boy we got our money’s worth, and some!!
The trip is so worth it and the team were fantastic. We had Damo and Lily on our boat yesterday. Damo was very knowledgeable, however a huge shout out to the incredible Lily. Firstly, she guided the boat with extremely impressive precision. She took us into a very narrow cave and right up to where the very newborn pups were.
Not only was she extremely knowledgeable but made herself clearly heard everywhere on the boat. Great job Lily!!
When we’re back in Tasmania we will definitely be back to take the great coastal journey to experience more sea life and dramatic scenery.
I had a fantastic experience with Tasman Island Cruises in Tasmania. The guides were knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights on the wildlife in port arthur. The cruise was both enjoyable and educational, making it a memorable journey. Highly recommended!
This was too good. Breathtaking views of Tasman Peninsula. But I was a bit sea sick due to my stomach problems though, but managed to survive it without vomiting , thanks to the ginger tablets. A few people on the jet boat ride vomitted and …
Must do cruise in Port Arthur. Spectacular views from the water. Great crew on board giving us all the opportunity to see the whales migrating to Antarctica, seals and wildlife. Crew were knowledgeable and great energy. Rug up as it can be very cold on the 20mins cruise back. Never felt his cold ever!
